Harvesting Garlic - A Community Effort

At Kyrie Farm, our volunteers truly embody the heart and soul of our mission. Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of welcoming friends of Rory and Michael McKeon to join us in the annual garlic harvest. Guided by our farm expert, Nathan, the group worked diligently to bring in this year's garlic crop, which has since been hung in our octagon to dry.


Garlic, a staple in many kitchens, not only enhances the flavor of our meals but also offers a range of health benefits. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, it’s known for its immune-boosting properties. Our organic garlic, grown in the biodiverse soils of Kyrie Farm, will soon be included in our vegetable boxes, bringing a touch of our farm’s goodness to your table.


This week marks the start of our organic veg box season, made possible by the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Their contributions ensure that our farm thrives, enabling us to deliver fresh, nutritious produce to our community. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved.
